Bayou Community Church is very pleased to be part of the Dickinson area. At Bayou Community Church we understand the importance of community. We believe that every church is at its best when engaged in the life of the community. Churches were never meant to exist as separate entities outside of culture, but should be active participants and consistent contributors within their culture and communities. The goal of Bayou Community Church is to be just that, actively engaged in our community. Helping where we can, often.

The idea behind Community3 or Community to the 3rd power is simple in nature. We believe we are one community that has been segmented by various issues and ideologies. Some of these issues include race, gender, social status, economic status, religious affiliation, political affiliation and so on. Though the task is great, we want to re-imagine what it means to be a community. We understand that everyone is "value added". Our communities are better because of contributions made by those interested in the betterment of their community however large or small that contribution may appear.  BCC will endeavor to establish better community relationships in 3 key areas:

1.)  Local Governments- What this means is that we will make ourselves available to our local government ( City Hall, Police, Fire, etc...) to help and assist in any way we can to beautify, strengthen and generally support the programs and initiatives already in place that benefit our community.

2.)  Neighborhoods and Schools-  Another focus area for BCC is that of our neighborhoods and schools. There are numerous neighborhood and school programs that churches can be a great help in. The goal is not to simply start new programs but to come along side of those already existing and those persons already engaged in the various programs and offer a helping hand.

3.)  Our church and others-  Finally, BCC is committed to building a better community within our own church as well as with other churches that exist in our community. We are not willing to compete and compare, but simply offer ourselves to serve, and help in making our communities a better place to live and raise our families.
